How support begins and grows

  1. 1

    First conversation

A parent, teacher or the child's school raises a concern and talks to our team.

  2. 2

    Assessment

A qualified professional assesses the child's strengths and needs through observation, conversation and standardised tools.

  3. 3

    Feedback

We explain the findings to parents in clear, simple language, and to the school with parental consent.

  4. 4

    Support plan

Together we agree goals and the right mix of therapy, classroom support and home strategies.

  5. 5

    Sessions

Regular sessions with the right specialist, at the centre or in school.

  6. 6

    Review

Progress is reviewed at regular intervals and the plan is adjusted as the child grows.

When it may help to ask for an assessment

Every child develops differently. These are reasons to talk to a professional, not signs of any particular condition.

Speech or language that seems behind other children of the same age
Ongoing difficulty with reading, writing or numbers despite extra help
Difficulty paying attention or sitting still that affects learning
Difficulty with handwriting, buttons, catching or other movement skills
Difficulty making friends or understanding social situations
Strong reactions to sounds, textures or changes in routine
Big changes in mood, behaviour or sleep
Losing skills the child already had

If a child loses skills they already had, please seek an assessment promptly.
